Introduction

Motorcyclists are unfortunately at a greater risk of being involved in an accident, additionally they are more likely to stop at the roadside to assist with another rider involved in an accident or any accident that may have occurred on the road. This can present additional risks as you will be at the side of a busy road. This is a course designed to focus on injuries that may be sustained if you were to be involved in an accident, it will also make you aware of the risks associated with stopping to assist others involved in accidents.

All of our first aid courses fully meet the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements.

Training can either take place on site at a customer’s premises or in one of our accredited training centres.

What will be covered?

Course Content

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements.

Hours CPD Certified: 6

All trainees will be provided with an accredited or in-house certificate following successful completion of the course which is valid for 3 years; 3 yearly refresher training is recommended.

Initial care of the scene and patient

Fears of first aid

Unconscious patients and the recovery position

Cardiac problems

CPR

Choking

Shock

Serious bleeding

Snatch rescue (removing someone from a dangerous situation)

Specific injury management

Helmet removal – open and full face

Breaks and fractures
